Road closure on Newton Road, near Newton Solney

Mercia Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) has been made aware that Newton Road, between Newton Solney and Winshill, is closed due to emergency gas works being carried out by Cadent.

It appears that the emergency works started today, (Monday 19 January), and it is not known how long they will be in place.

There is considerable traffic congestion in the local area.

Due to the emergency works, Trent Barton is advising that the V3 bus service is being diverted between Repton and Burton via the A38.
